- The authors of Light of the World series have tried to use inclusive language (referring to both men and women), since both sexes share equally in human qualities and accomplishments. It is sometimes necessary, however, to quote from other sources whose language is noninclusive (for example. using the male pronoun or such terms as mankind to refer to all people). Although it will contrast with the text proper, the noninclusive language of other authors has been changed.
